Extra large Shell-off Black Tiger Prawns (frozen), 1kg

We've carefully selected our favourite size of Tiger prawn - large and juicy.  These are incredibly versatile, working perfectly in a salad, in a prawn dish, as a starter, as a main, on a skewer, directly on the barbecue, on a griddle, simply pan fried with lemon on top. 

As you'd expect from LMDC Hampers, our Tiger prawns are farmed in a sustainable way and are of the very best quality.  Each 1kg bag contains 8-12 prawns, peeled and deveined for your convenience, and each prawn is at least 8cm/3" in length. The prawns are individually frozen, which means you can take as many as you'll use from each bag and leave the rest in your freezer.

    Not usual LMDC quality

    I am a big fan of LMDC (see positive review about the langoustines) but the prawns were not to LMDC's usual standard, unless of course they changed them since we had them at Christmas. First of all, the prawns come from India, this was not mentioned in the description and , as I'm used to the impeccable provenance of LMDC products, I assumed they would have been farmed much more closer to home. Second, the taste was unfortunately very bland to us. Still a fan of the company but won't order this product again.

    Incredible, frozen never taste so fresh

    Amazing prawns and a regular addition now. Can’t get anything like this in the big chain stores.
